MicroStrategy does include 2 named user licenses in the Reporting Suite that will allow you to try all the functionality of the platform, including Dashboards, Report Services and In-Memory. For more please check.

I do not have much connection with MicroStrategy UK office. Just having one person over one year of exp is defiantly a concern about the consulting services that MicroStrategy can provide to UK/EU clients.

1. Yes 2. Depends upon your need. Yes but PROD MicroStrategy is not certified running of Windows Xp. 3. Yes, certified too. 4. Nah Som. Go ahead and try best BI product out there.

First of all, great blog. I'm am ETL developer trying to move into a BI Reporting. I'm thinking Microstrategy as one of the options since we have an evaluation version. I will be installing it and trying it out, before that, a few questions:
1> Will I have the architech privilege? Create schema, etc?
2> I'm planning to buy new hardware/software. What hardware config is right? Can I install and run on Windows XP?
3> Can I install and run on Windows 2003 Server?
4> Also, the license is for 1 CPU. I'm hoping Dual Core processor shouldn't be a problem?

Please advise.
